Kingseat Hospital is located near karaka in the southern part of Auckland.

This place is regarded as one of the most terrifying spots in New Zealand, with over "100 ghosts" said to wander here.
This psychiatric hospital once had more than 800 patients. It is said that many patients and nurses died here.
What's even more bizarre is that the hospital closed overnight, and the patients and nurses inside disappeared
without a trace.
Now, here comes the spooky part. Spookers take you on a terrifying journey through the old hospital.

The Lost Gypsy Gally and The Natural Flames Experience by Healy

 The Lost Gypsy Gally

It is created by New Zealand artist Blair Somerville, located in Papatowai town in the Catlins, on South Island's southern coast. It is converted by a Leyland caravan bus of 1951 and full of mechanical hand made contraptions. There are over 85 mechanical artworks to explore. All of them made from reclaimed objects and each piece is designed to move, chirp, wobble or delight when you wind handles or press buttons. It is quite like being in a whimsical inventor's workshop, where you could really enjoy both art and curiosity experience.
The lost Gypsy opens daily from November to April, closed Wednesdays and fully closed during winter April to October.

The Natural Flames Experience

Natural Flames near Murchison, South Island is a unique guided tour into a mossy beach forest where natural gas seeps through hidden fissures and ignites into small, perpetual flames on the forest floor-literally flames dancing among ferns and mosses that "just shouldn't be there".

Small flickering flames emerge directly from the forest floor, surrounded by green leaf understory, trees above remain untouched yet. It is one of the only places on earth where surface flames burn without igniting surrounding vegetation. Enjoy this magical bush-walkyou can even picnic a fantastic Billy tea brewing and pancakes cooking over these flames by guides. Is it interesting?

Cape Reinga by Jessie

Cape Reinga  is the northwesternmost point of the Aupouri Peninsula and the North Island of New Zealand , and it is located about 100 kilometres north of the nearest town, Kaitaia.

There stands a white lighthouse , that was built in 1941, and it is one of the brightest lighthouses in New Zealand, and It is a place where the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean meet, creating dramatic currents and offering stunning views.

At the northernmost tip of the Cape is a gnarled pohutukawa tree, believed to be over 800 years old.

According to Māori oral history, the spirits of deceased Māori leap from this tree into the ocean to return to their ancestral homeland of Hawaiki.

The Cape Reinga light today is electric, with the last lighthouse keeper being withdrawn in 1987, and It is now managed remotely by computer from Wellington.

Book Review

This is a story about Christopher, a 15-year-old Autism boy starts to find out the murder of neighbor's dog named Wellington was killed in the night time. During the investigation,  he discovers that lots of things mysterious. He finds a lot of truth he didn't know before at all. He is shocked and decide to leave his father Ed and runs to the city where his mother lives. Finally, the relationship between he and his father is rebuild.

Reading this book seems like going on a wonderful adventure because of its complicated and unpredictable. The main character, Christopher is unique with logical thoughts and reveals different world through his eyes. It is the window let me know there are some kind of behaviors of people with Autism and can understand them more.

In my opinion, I believe that it is not just a story of crime and detective, it is also an exploration of the sight of real world especially from Autism, a kind of spiritual sympathy with family and growth. I recommend you to read this book and exchange what's your favorite part.

Book review : The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time .

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon is a special book that I have read. The protagonist of this book was a 15-year-old boy. His name was Christopher. He saw his neighbor’s dog was dead at midnight . There was a garden fork sticking out of the dog. He would find out who killed the dog. And the story began.

Christopher has Asperger’s , This is what I think this book is special. It elaborately describes his way of thinking and problem-solving methods, interspersed with many charts, numerical knowledge and calculations... The author enables us to understand how the brain of an autistic child works, and also allows us to feel the fear and unease they experience when facing strangers and the unknown. At the same time, it showcases his talent in mathematics and physics.

During the investigation process, he found the secrets of his own family. Feeling that his world had collapsed due to his mother's departure and his father's lies, he was at a loss.

As a parent, I can better understand the efforts, helplessness and pain of his parents for such a special child, as well as the immense pressure and torment deep in their hearts. At any moment, it could all collapse, which is why his mother left and why his father killed the dog...

I haven't finished reading this book yet, but I will continue. This book offers us many inspirations. The world is not black and white. We need to re-examine our perspectives on the world and others, especially towards some special groups of people, which is worth our deep reflection.

some reviews about The Curious Incident......

I 've been reading this book for two weeks now. It' s difficult for me to read this book, because I don't know many words. So I looked up a lot of words to read this book😱
At first,I couldn't quite accept this book.Because of Christopher's way of thinking is different from ordinary people.I even found the book a bit boring, until I read that his mother wasn't dead—which made the story more and more interesting to me.This might have something to do with the fact that ordinary people tend to be fond of gossip.
Through Christopher's unique understanding and perspective on the things around him,I have come to understand the way autistic people think. When he has to process a huge amount of information from his surroundings, he shuts down like a computer. This indirectly shows that human energy on the most important things, so we simply ignore some tiny details around us.
Christopher is an honest child. He doesn't understand the ''white lies'' in the real world or the complexity of society, which makes it hard for him to integrate into society and leaves him increasingly isolated. But he still longs to fit in.

The story of this book unfolds with Christopher as the narrator.I find this a bit unreasonable because a narrator's account typically requires strong coherence, logic, and expressive ability. However,as an autistic person,Christopher presumably wouldn't possess such strong narrative skills.Perhaps this is also one of the book's major characteristics.

Insiders to Auckland

DON'T bring any food with you if you really need some you must  declare them. You can buy a phone card in duty-free store before you go to the customs, which is much cheaper than that outside.

Remember to bring sunscreen with SPF50+, hat and sunglasses always with you.

You should also book an accommadation in advance, as it's usually hard to walk in. Airbnb, Booking, and The Rednote are some useful apps.

As to transportation, you can rent a car or just use the public transportation. It's convenient to buy an AT card in any WoolWorth or NewWorld.

You can go to any beach or park, however, you can have the best photoes on Piha Beach and Long Bay, In my opinion, just avoid visiting Hobson Street or Skytower, they have exaggerated reviews than they deserve.

Please go to Auckland anyway!
